Rocks and blocks around the star systems.
Asteroids and comets, minor bodies, are pieces of planetesimals and also planets in a star system. In particular in our Solar sytem, we have different regions where these rocks, some active (comets, objects which eject dust and gas), some inactive (asteroids), are present. The most well known is the main belt a region between Mars and Jupiter. But before Mars we have the Near-Earth Objects (NEOs) and between Jupiter and Neptune the Centaurs and after Neptune the TNOs. The biggest known asteroids in the main belt are Ceres, Vesta and Pallas.
